What is the ComEd mobile application?

The ComEd mobile application provides Residential customers with the convenience to manage their account on the go through their smartphones.

What features does the ComEd mobile application offer?

With the ComEd mobile application, customers can view their account information, make a payment, report an outage, receive notification on outage status, view and manage multiple accounts, and more.

Who can use the ComEd mobile application?

At this time, the ComEd mobile application is only available for Residential customers.

What mobile platforms will the application work for?

The ComEd mobile application is available for iPhone® and Android™ devices. The app is currently being supported for Android users with OS version 2.2 and above and for iPhone users with OS version 4.0 and above.

How do I download the ComEd Mobile Application?

The ComEd mobile application is currently available. The ComEd mobile application can be downloaded using the links below or directly from iTunes or Google Play.

How do I sign up for outage notifications within the ComEd mobile application?

Upon initial download and after the first time logging in, the user will be asked to save their Alert preferences. At this time, if a user would like to receive outage notifications they must save their Alert preferences for Outages to ON. For future reference if a user would like to change their Alert preferences, they can access them by retrieving the Manage Alerts page within the mobile app.

What is the difference between the mobile app and the mobile website?

The mobile website can be accessed by visiting ComEd.com on your mobile browser. The mobile application, however, is downloaded to your mobile device.

Is the mobile application secure?

Yes, the ComEd mobile application is secure. User data such as login credentials and account information is securely transmitted via an encrypted channel. The connection between the middleware and ComEd is within a private network. Session management has been implemented to manage authenticated user access.

Will I be able to see if my payment to ComEd has been received in the mobile app?

Yes, the ComEd mobile application has a section where you can view the payments that have posted to your ComEd account. Select the My Bills icon. The page will default to the Billing & Usage view. Change the view from Billing & Usage to Payments. You will be able to see all the payments posted to your ComEd account for the last 24 months, including recent payments. The total balance due on the main account page of the ComEd mobile app will not reflect your last payment made for at least 24 hours after the payment has been made.

How do I register?

In order to be able to use the ComEd mobile application, a user must first create a profile (which will include a Username and Password) through ComEd.com/My Account. Once a profile has been created on ComEd.com and the mobile app has been downloaded to the device, the user will be able to log in using the same credentials created on ComEd.com.

What if the application is not working?

If the mobile app is not working, please check your OS version to ensure it is one that ComEd supports. If the app is supported on the device and you are still experiencing issues, please contact ComEd at comedappsupport@exeloncorp.com.
